The major causes of amputation are disease and trauma. Trauma usually occurs due to results of industrial accident, framing incident and motor vehicle accident. Vascular diseases which are diabetes and tumour are the major diseases that contribute to amputation (World Health Organization and United States Department of Defence, 2004). After amputation, the amputees will face mobility limitation on performing activities. The amputees show lower balance confidence while comparing with healthy elderly. The loss of lower limb causes them to restrict from doing activities due to fear of falling and injury (Miller et al., 2002). The goal of rehabilitation team for individual with lower limb amputation is to be able maintains their functional status. The use of assistive devices may promote the amputees to be confident and maximum function on their life. The early used of prosthetic devices may promote the improvement on rehabilitation process (Home & Neil, 2009). The retrospective study by Samuelsson et al. shows that the used of multiple programs especially in reducing pain, able to enhance occupational performance and satisfaction (2011). Lower limb amputees have better result on mental health, social and bodily pain function when comparing with upper limb amputees. Besides that, level of confidence in performance activities among amputee group was higher when compare with others chronic pain group, even though the amputees have loss of a limb and face some of pain such as phantom limb pain (Davidson et al., 2010). The purpose of the study is to explore occupational performance role of person with lower limb amputation in Malaysia and also their satisfaction while performing daily life activity, work and leisure while wearing adaptive devices
