Abstrak Kajian

Literature survey has revealed that child offenders are denied the legal rights which are vested in them in the current criminal justice system. Thus, this study attempts to answer the following questions at the fundamental legal level: a) Does the Child Act provide adequate protection to the child offenders in the criminal justice system in Malaysia? b) Why is there a need to implement diversionary measures in the juvenile justice system in Malaysia? c) Why is there a need to reform the provisions in the Child Act?
