Abstrak Kajian
This study was to identify the factors that influence the level of work productivity among the staff of the Department of Social Welfare, Kuantan. Productivity is an evaluation of the work produced after a process of transformation. It can be defined as the value or quantity of output that can be produced by a unit of input. In this study, the input is a factor and the output is the final outcome of whether the level of increased productivity or otherwise. There are five factors to be studied, the work load factors, work environment, work conflict, work motivation and job satisfaction. The scope of the study subjects are from the staff of the Department of Social Welfare in Kuantan district, 108 persons comprising various employee characteristics such as gender, race, age, marital status, education level, length of service, position and scope of work or occupied units. Accordingly a questionnaire based on the study Javaratne and Chess (1984) modified as appropriate and completed only by respondents was used to identify the factors that influence productivity. The results show that the reactive factor the highest score, followed by the work environment, work load, work motivation and job satisfaction in finally. The study also shows that there is a significant relationship between work load factors, work environment, work conflicts and work motivation (p < 0.01) with the level of productivity and job satisfaction factors no significant with other factors because it depends on the four factors (p > 0.01).
