Abstrak Kajian
The population of senior citizens is increasing worldwide. The increasing number and percentage of older person aged 60 years above challenges Malaysia to prepare necessary programs for the aging nation. This research aims to analyses several factors that influence the health level among senior citizens at Seri Kenangan shelter by using Logistic Regression Model. The sample data consisted of 60 residents of Seri Kenangan shelter Kangar, Perlis and 70 residents of Seri Kenangan shelter Bedong, Kedah. Analysis was done by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). There existed only one significant factor that influenced the health level among residents in Kangar shelter was marital status and in Bedong shelter there are no significant factors. Moreover, there were certain limitations in this research whereas the sample data included was restricted to few little senior citizens and there is no formal diagnosis of characteristics background. The research recommended that future study should include other factors that could influence the health of senior citizens.
