Abstrak Kajian
This study was conducted with the aim of getting an understanding of the vocational training at Child Rehabilitation Center in the State of Sarawak. In particular, this study aims to examine the types of vocational training; identify the interest of the Coach/ Trainer for vocational training; identify the challenges faced amongst Coach/ Trainer for vocational training; and the measure taken to overcome the challenges faced by vocational training among the Coach/ Trainer for vocational training conducted at Child Rehabilitation Center in the State of Sarawak. Qualitative research methods are used in order to probe deeper into the issues faced. Data for this study were collected using an open-ended questionnaire given to the Coach/ Trainer in the field of vocational training, selected from the organizations involved. A total of five (5) Coach/ Trainer were selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that types of vocational training have a relationship of vocational interest among the Coach/ Trainer. The study also found that the Coach/ Trainer faced challenges with their superiors, colleagues and trainees. Finally, the study indicated that the Coach/ Trainer would be able to overcome these challenges though specific approaches to ensure vocational training center at the Child Rehabilitation Center in the State of Sarawak is implemented with competence, efficient, and of quality.
